Ousmane Dembele returned to the Barcelona squad this weekend, but he is now set to be sidelined with a new injury.

Ousmane Dembele was sidelined for almost four months after suffering an injury that cut his Euro 2020 tournament short. The French winger finally returned to the Blaugrana squad in their match against Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday. However, he has now suffered a new injury that will return him back to the sidelines.

Barcelona announced on Thursday that Dembele has suffered a strain in the semimembranosus muscle of his left hamstring.

Dembele will miss his side’s La Liga clash against Celta Vigo on Saturday. However, he will have enough time to recover in the upcoming international break.

Dembele is also negotiating with the club over a new contract, with his current deal running until the next summer. Barcelona are keen to decrease the Frenchman’s wages due to his frequent injuries.

After the break, Barcelona will return to action with a league match against Espanyol on November 20.
