Antonio Conte wants Lautaro Martinez to stay at the San Siro, but Barcelona have upped their interest in the Argentina international.

Lionel Messi wanted to leave Camp Nou because he did not believe in the project at Barcelona. The Catalans want to rectify this situation and have brought in Ronald Koeman to address their issues.

The changing events have seen Luis Suarez and Arturo Vidal been told they are no longer wanted at the club. Junior Firpo is also not in Koeman’s plans and it has been difficult to get rid of the left-back.

All the while Antoine Griezmann and Philippe Coutinho will be given more time to prove themselves.

However, the club have yet to add a marquee signing to their ranks. According to Marca, they have identified Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez as their priority target.

Antonio Conte will not allow the Argentine to leave. Barcelona were told to offer €111 million for Martinez but that possibility is not on the table anymore.

Forecasting issues beforehand, Barca have sought the services of super agent Jorge Mendes to help in this matter.

Blaugrana have told Mendes to help them get rid of unwanted players to fund the move. There is also an issue of freeing up wage bill.
