Koeman has recalled two players from injury ahead of the Blaugrana’s Champions League showdown with PSG.

Gerard Pique has made FC Barcelona’s 21-man squad for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain, with Martin Braithwaite also making a return from injury.

Ronald Koeman’s side will meet French champions, and last season’s Champions League runners-up, PSG at Camp Nou for the first leg of their last-16 tie.

The injury-stricken hosts are without Philippe Coutinho, Sergi Roberto, Ansu Fati, Ronald Araujo. But Pique’s return to training offered hope of a return to action, with the center-back having completed full sessions on Sunday and Monday.

Barcelona manager Koeman revealed in his pre-match conference he would make a final decision on whether Pique, who has been sidelined since November with a knee injury, on Tuesday morning.

And now it’s official, the 34-year-old has made the squad to offer Koeman more defensive options. His speedy recovery has reportedly impressed the club’s medical staff, and there is a chance he could even start.

Braithwaite, meanwhile, is another player to return from injury. The Danish striker has missed Barcelona’s last two games against Sevilla and Alaves through a hamstring injury. However, he completed a full training session on Monday and is back in the squad.
