After several weeks of struggling with injuries, FC Barcelona finally got some good news for the upcoming La Liga weekend vs Sevilla FC.

FC Barcelona just got some massive injury news that will help them perform against Sevilla at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. A player who was already getting comfortable in a starring role at the club but suffered a setback. We are talking about Uruguay international, Ronald Araujo. The young South American defender has been one of Ronald Koeman’s most trusted players throughout the entire season. When he had to take a step back to recover, the squad really suffered his absence but he finally returns.

After many physical tests and the doctors’ advice, Araujo returns to a call-up list after weeks out of the game. He comes back in due time for a crucial part of the season where they face Sevilla twice and PSG in the Champions League. The first major test for them will come on Saturday in La Liga activity. A victory could be a starting point to a comeback in all competitions. However, this could also go in the complete opposite way.

Araujo gets to play next to Gerard Pique.

Ronald Koeman is thrilled to have both Arujo and Pique back in top shape after both of them suffered injury setbacks. The Catalan player already expressed how much he likes Ronald Araujo to take his place at the defense when he decides to leave the club. He can finally get to mentor a player like Carles Puyol mentored him when he returned to Barcelona from Manchester United.

We could be on the verge of a historic partnership between two incredible defenders who only need more games playing together in order to gain more confidence. It’s still unclear if Koeman will decide to use Araujo from the star against Sevilla but he is already part of the list. If he was included for this game, it means that the manager considers him fit to play for at least a few minutes.
