Barcelona preparing €30m offer for Genoa star in January

The Catalans look to add a new defender to their ranks this winter.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Genoa’s Radu Dragusin in the January transfer window.

Dragusin has established a reputation as one of Serie A’s most promising young defenders since joining Genoa from Juventus in the summer. The Rumanian star’s performances have caught the attention of Barcelona, who are looking for defensive reinforcements ahead of the second half of the season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are open to paying €30m for Dragusin. However, Genoa are expected to reject a potential offer as they have a higher valuation of the 21-year-old.

On Thursday, a report from Italian source Calciomercato.com claimed Roma are also watching Dragusin’s situation closely, with Tottenham also being in the race to sign him.

Interest from several top clubs for the centre-back could even tempt Genoa to wait until the summer for his sale. With Tottenham being in the race, it wouldn’t be easy for the Catalans to win a bidding war for Dragusin this January.
