The Catalans are open to selling one of their main defenders in the upcoming transfer window.
Barcelona have reportedly decided on their asking price for Sergino Dest ahead of the next season.
The American right-back has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United after the club’s appointment of Erik ten Hag.
Dest rose to stardom under Ten Hag, becoming one of the best Eredivisie defenders at Ajax. The 21-year-old might reunite with his former boss at Old Trafford amid his struggle for form at Barcelona.
According to Marca, Barcelona would consider selling Dest for a fee of €25m.
The Spanish source claims the Catalans still believe the USMNT star can continue his development at Camp Nou. However, financial issues might tempt Barca to accept a potential offer for the defender.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta refused to rule out a new contract extension for Dani Alves earlier this week. The 39-year-old right-back has challenged Dest for a place in Xavi Hernandez’s squad since his arrival in January.
The Catalans are also in negotiations with Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta over a summer move. The Spaniard will become a free agent this summer, and he is reportedly keen to continue his career under Xavi.
Another transfer target for Barcelona was Ajax’s Noussair Mazraoui. However, most sources have confirmed the Moroccan star has already reached an agreement with Bayern Munich.
