Adam Aznou, who will turn 16 in June, has decided to leave Barcelona’s academy as a free agent.
The Moroccan teenager has attracted interest from several clubs, with Borussia Dortmund being among his main suitors.
However, Bayern Munich have managed to persuade Aznou’s representatives over a move to Allianz Arena. According to Mundo Deportivo, the German giants are on the verge of finalizing a move for the youngster.
Aznou plays a left-back in Barca’s academy ranks, with fans calling him the ‘new Jordi Alba’. The defender has dual nationality and can play for both Morocco and Spain national teams.
Aznou’s brilliant performances this season earned him a call-up from Spain’s U16 national team. After spending three years in La Masia, the player will now face a new challenge in his football journey.
Bayern, who are notorious for signing talents from other Bundesliga sides, have started improving their academy ranks in recent seasons.
