Atletico Madrid are seemingly open to selling the Portuguese star on a permanent deal.
Joao Felix has found a solid start to his loan spell at Barcelona since joining the club in the summer transfer window.
The Portuguese star’s “dream” move to Camp Nou was finally materialized when Barcelona signed him on a one-year contract on the transfer deadline day.
Since then, Felix has gradually established his place in Xavi’s lineup, providing the team with more creativity in the attacking third.
Having registered three goals and two assists in his first seven appearances for the Catalans, Felix seems to have rediscovered his spark at Barca. The Portugal international’s performances have intensified speculations about a possible move by Barca to sign him on a permanent deal next summer.
A new report from AS claims that Atletico Madrid hope to sell Felix for around €80m. The Spanish outlet claims Atletico refused to loan out Felix to Saudi clubs, who were willing to pay higher loan fees to avoid his devaluation.
A possible agreement with Barcelona could significantly limit Atletico’s financial loss from their €126m move for Felix back in 2019.
Barcelona will take on Granada in their last game before the international break on Sunday.
