The Spanish youngster is heavily linked with a move away from Camp Nou this summer.

Ansu Fati has no desire to leave Barcelona ahead of the next season, Jorge Mendes insists.

Fati broke into Barca’s first team as one of La Masia’s most promising graduates in 2019. The 20-year-old has registered 29 goals in his 109 appearances for the club.

However, his limited playing time under Xavi Hernandez has intensified reports about his possible departure from the Catalans this summer.

“Ansu wants to stay, he wants to stay,” Mendes told Jijantes when asked about the youngster’s future.

He added: “He has scored three goals in his last two games, what more do you want?

“I am convinced that he is one of the best youngsters in the world, and that he will win a Ballon d’Or.”

Fati failed to secure a regular starting position in Barcelona’s well-equipped attacking line last season. With Xavi having the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele, and Ferran Torres at his disposal, the club are reportedly keen to offload Fati from their wage bill.

Tottenham have shown interest in signing the youngster ahead of the next season. But the No. 10’s intention to stay at Camp Nou could force the Catalans to seek a different solution to their problems with La Liga’s wage cap.
