The Catalans are planning to bolster their attacking line in the summer transfer window.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a summer move for Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane.

The Catalans failed to sign a direct replacement for Ousmane Dembele, who left the club for Paris Saint-Germain in August. Following the departure of Ansu Fati, Barca signed Joao Felix on a loan deal from Atletico. But that won’t be enough to guarantee sufficient depth in Xavi Hernandez’s attacking setup.

According to SPORT, Sane is a possible target for the Catalans as they look to add a new winger to their ranks.
Despite Ferran Torres’ decent start to the season, Barcelona have struggled for goalscoring consistency. Sane’s potential move could provide Barca with another fast winger who also boasts an impressive goalscoring record.

Sane is enjoying the best season of his career at Bayern after a brilliant start to the 2023-24 campaign. The German international has linked up with Harry Kane to form a devastating duo in Bayern’s attacking line. Having registered eight goals and six assists in his 11 Bundesliga matches, Sane has been a crucial part of Thomas Tuchel’s attacking plans this season.

Sane’s current deal at Bayern expires in 2025, with the club being under pressure to extend his contract before next summer. The 27-year-old is priced at around €50-60m, according to reports from the Spanish media.
