The appointment of Antonio Conte at Tottenham has tempted Barcelona to make a move for Tanguy Ndombele.
Tanguy Ndombele moved to Tottenham on a club-record fee in 2019. However, the French midfielder has failed to live up to expectations at the north London side. Barcelona, who were interested in Ndombele back when he played for Lyon, are now considering a move for the player.
According to SPORT, Barcelona are aware that Antonio Conte’s arrival at Tottenham has intensified the English club’s efforts to sign Milan’s Franck Kessie.
With the potential arrival of Kessie, the London side will be open to selling Ndombele. On the other hand, the Blaugrana are searching for a new box-to-box midfielder and see the French as a reliable option.
The Blaugrana are also monitoring Borussia Monchengladbach’s Dennis Zakaria. However, a move for the 24-year-old might be unaffordable for Barcelona as they already deal with serious financial issues.
