The USMNT star is reportedly on Barcelona’s exit list this summer.

Sergino Dest has insisted he has no intentions of leaving Barcelona ahead of the next season.

The former Ajax star has struggled to live up to expectations at Barcelona since his arrival in October 2020.

The 21-year-old couldn’t secure a regular spot in Xavi Hernandez’s lineup last season. But he is still eager to find his best form Camp Nou.

“I’m not thinking about transfers at the moment,” Dest told reporters on Thursday.

“I’m happy at this club, so I will definitely stay here.”

Barcelona are reportedly in negotiations for Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso. However, bringing the Chelsea pair to Camp Nou might require Barca to offload more players this summer.

Dest, however, is not keen to change clubs ahead of the upcoming Qatar World Cup.

Asked about his preparation for the upcoming tournament, the USMNT star said: “For me, personally, I really need to get fit.

“I came back from an injury I had two injuries last year on one side, so I don’t want any injuries anymore.

“I’m taking this really serious. I want to make sure that I can play the whole season without any injuries. This preseason is really important for me, and I think, as well, for everyone because it’s just the basis for the whole season.”
