Ahead of Barcelona’s match against PSG, one of the Catalan club’s defenders is relieved Neymar won’t be able to play tomorrow.

Due to an injury, Neymar won’t be able to play against FC Barcelona tomorrow. The Brazilian star suffered a nasty tackle that will keep him out of the game for at least a month. He was supposed to return to play against his former squad but he will miss the opportunity and hinder his side’s chances to win. Neymar was considered PSG’s most important player next to Kylian Mbappe. Without him, the French giants basically have no chance of winning anything in this competition.

On Barcelona’s side, they know how important of a player he can be. Jordi Alba himself celebrated he won’t be present for this game alongside Angel Di Maria. Both players are currently out injured and will miss the match. Barcelona are going through a good moment after their recent victory against Alaves. Their intention is to dominate the game against PSG as well but we won’t know more details until tomorrow.

Alba doesn’t want Neymar to play.

Due to their past as Barcelona players, Alba knows Neymar perfectly and knows what a danger he can be. During a press conference picked up by Sport, this is what Jordi had to say: “It’s better if they don’t play, I’m not going to lie. They have important players who will be there. It will be a leveled knock-out stage that will be decided by details. We also have some important absentees but the replacements are doing a great job. We will always respect opinions.

“People will see who are favorites on the pitch. We have to be a team. All of us have to defend and attack. The team needs to stay together in these stages, especially in the Champions League. The manager’s idea has always been the same. New people came and it’s not easy. We are going through a great dynamic but any club can beat us if we aren’t at 100% of our capacity. Even then, we will have difficulties. The manager is doing a great job with everybody. Both with the ones who have been here for longer and the new arrivals.”
