The newly-appointed boss has brought his staff to Barcelona from Qatari side Al Sadd.

Two days after the unveiling of Xavi Hernandez as their new manager, Barcelona have confirmed his backroom staff.

The managerial team are facing a huge task to turn things around at Camp Nou. A host of injured players and the club’s financial problems await them in their first steps at the club.

However, Xavi has vowed to improve Barcelona by enhancing their discipline and work rate. Something impossible to reach without having a solid backroom staff.

Xavi’s brother Oscar Hernandez and Sergio Alegre will work as the assistant coaches. Ivan Torres has been appointed as the new Barcelona fitness coach, a crucial role for a club dealing with an injury crisis.

The team’s new analysts are Sergio Garcia, Toni Lobo and David Prats. Former Girona goalkeeper Jose Ramon De la Fuente has remained as Barca’s goalkeeping coach.

The new staff have already placed new rules within the team, demanding more discipline from the players.

After the international break, Xavi will make his Barcelona managerial debut against Espanyol on November 2, three days before their crucial match against Benfica in the Champions League.
