Adama Traore began his footballing career in Barcelona as a youngster, and now could potentially make a return to Camp Nou.
Reports have come out that Barcelona are fighting against Tottenham to sign Wolves star Adama Traore this month.
The Catalan club is said to be preparing a loan deal that will see a former La Masia player return to Camp Nou.
Traore has been all over the transfer news for some time with questions asked about his future at Molineux.
Actually, the fast-paced winger was close to renewing a contract to extend his six-and-a-half-year spell in the Premier League. However, it appears that Traore is choosing his homeland instead of continuing his run in England.
According to the Athletic, Barcelona are arranging a route for the Spaniard. It will see him at Camp Nou on an initial short-term loan.
Furthermore, it also includes an alternative of dragging the move for a permanent transfer over the summer for €35 million.
This will in turn have a negative impact on Tottenham’s chances of signing the explosive speedster. In addition, it is been said that Traore does not wish to play as a right-winger under Antonio Conte.
As of yet, there are no official announcements from Barcelona or Wolves. Although, it seems likely that the deal will be closed soon.
