The Gabonese striker is about to leave Barcelona after spending half a season at Camp Nou.

Chelsea are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Barcelona over a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Following the departures of Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku, the Blues are keen to add a new forward to their ranks.

According to 90min, Aubameyang has a personal agreement in place with Chelsea.

The English giants are reportedly on the verge of completing the transfer as they hope to integrate Aubameyang into their squad as soon as possible.

The former Arsenal captain found a brilliant start to life at Camp Nou after his mid-season transfer last season.

However, the arrival of Robert Lewandowski at Barcelona has seemingly convinced him to seek a move away from the club.

Another Barcelona forward, Memphis Depay, was heavily linked with a move away from the club. But a collapsed move to Juventus has left him stranded at Camp Nou.

Aubameyang’s imminent exit will most likely keep Depay at Barcelona. He will have to compete alongside the likes of Lewandowski, Raphinha, Ferran Torres and Ousmane Dembele for a place in Xavi’s lineup.

Aubameyang scored for the Catalans in their 3-3 draw against Manchester City in a charity match. The English sources claim Chelsea hope to have the 33-year-old at their disposal by the time they face Leicester City this weekend.
