A brilliant first-half display was enough for Barca to continue their winning streak in La Liga.

Barcelona defeated Cadiz 2-0 in their La Liga game on Sunday. Robert Lewandowski returned to scoring ways as the Catalans maintained their eight-point lead at the top of the La Liga table.

A hard-earned clean sheet!

Barcelona have conceded just one goal in their last seven La Liga games. The Catalans continued their incredible record when they hosted Cadiz.

As expected, Barca took control of the possession quickly. But their efforts rarely led to serious goalscoring chances until the final few minutes of the first half.

After a string of failed attacks, Sergi Roberto finally broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute.

Cadiz’s goalkeeper made an impressive save to deny Robert Lewandowski from close range. But the rebound found Roberto, who put Barca ahead with a powerful finish.

Only three minutes later, Roberto completed his brilliant performance by providing an assist for Barca’s second goal.

The Spaniard passed the ball to Lewandowski, who latched onto the ball on the edge of the box. The Polish striker then made it 2-0 with an inch-perfect low shot into the left corner of the net.

Cadiz made several goalscoring attempts throughout the second period. But Barca managed to keep them at bay with their well-organized defence.

The visitors came the closest when Anthony Lozano’s header hit the post in the 87th minute. But that wasn’t enough to prevent Barca from claiming another clean sheet in the league.

Barca will now prepare to meet Man Utd in the second leg of their Europa League playoff tie on Thursday.
