The Jamaica international is seeking a new challenge after establishing himself as a top talent during his four-and-a-half-season spell in Bundesliga.
Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey is “totally ready for the next step” amid rumors linking him with a move to the Premier League.
Bailey enjoyed a career-best season on an individual level last time out, hitting 15 goals and providing 11 assists through 40 games in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen.
The 23-year-old’s rise to prominence has not gone unnoticed, with the likes of Arsenal, Leicester City, Everton, and Aston Villa reportedly looking to secure his services.
According to some sources, Leverkusen would be willing to cash in on their prized asset this summer for a sum in the region of £30 million.
“One hundred per cent, I’m totally ready for the next step,” said Bailey discussing his future plans on ESPN.
“I’ve been working hard to be able to reach where I am today. I feel like I’m at an age and point in my life where I feel like I’m ready for the next step. Hopefully we can make that happen soon.
“For me, just playing at the top. The highest level. I feel like I need a new challenge so anywhere where it’s a good opportunity for me to really showcase myself and work hard.”
