Up next for the Spaniards is a match against Italy – arguably the most dangerous opponents in Euro 2020.

Spain must try and “limit the involvement” of Jorginho in their upcoming clash with Italy, says Cesar Azpilicueta.

Not only have Italy maintain a perfect winning record in Euros so far, winning five out of five games, but they also boast of a perfect defensive record from open play, with one of their only two goals conceded coming from a corner and the other from a penalty.

Jorginho deserves huge credit for Italy’s impressive run. Operating from the middle of the park, the 29-year-old is often found at the heart of the Azzurri’s devastating moves while he has also played a vital role in defense.

“We have a Whatsapp group with our Chelsea teammates, but it will be nice to meet him again on the pitch,” Azpilicueta told Sky Sports Italia.

“That’s why football is great, now we are going to give the best for our national teams. Jorginho has proved to be a crucial player for Italy.

“He has important qualities, he likes to keep the ball in his feet and control the game. If we limit his involvement, we’ll have more chances to qualify for the Final.”
