Cesar Azpilicueta has opened up regarding his future at Chelsea as Barcelona wait for the summer transfer window to approach.

Cesar Azpilicueta refused to speak regarding his future at Chelsea amid speculations about his move to Barcelona.

As it stands, the Spaniard could say goodbye to his mates at Stamford Bridge this summer on a free transfer. His contract expires at the end of the season.

Barcelona are assured that they will be able to entice Azpilicueta to Camp Nou in the forthcoming transfer window. However, the Blues are desperate to shake new hands with the veteran defender.

Ahead of Chelsea’s Club World Cup battle against Al Hilal, the 32-year-old spoke about his future step.

He was questioned if he wanted to stay at Chelsea beyond the current campaign. Here’s what Azpilicueta said: “I’m not going to speak about my future. We are one day before the semi-final of the tournament.”

“Of course, I arrived in the summer of 2012 and I didn’t have kids. My kids were born in London and you know how I feel about Chelsea. But I am not going to comment on my future.”
