The current LaLiga leaders have confirmed two of their players have returned positive results.
Atletico Madrid have announced positive COVID-19 test results for Mario Hermoso and Yannick Carrasco.
After inconclusive results during tests on Friday, the players were kept in isolation and later had to undergo another test. And, unfortunately for the pair, their second tests returned a positive result each.
In a brief statement on Saturday afternoon, however, Atletico assured Hermoso and Carrasco are in good health and have quarantined.

They're isolating at home, in compliance with the health authorities’ guidelines and LaLiga protocols.

“Yannick Carrasco and Mario Hermoso tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday,” read a club statement.
“The Belgian and the Spaniard have been isolating at home, in compliance with the health authorities’ guidelines and the LaLiga protocols.
“The club’s medical services are in permanent contact with LaLiga and its official laboratory.”
The pair’s absences, however, is an unwelcome setback for Diego Simeone’s side ahead of the trip to Cadiz on Sunday. Therefore, Marcos Llorente or Sime Vrsaljko could fill in as a right wing-back and Felipe Augusto could step in for Hermoso in central defense.
