The Argentine shot-stopper has been linked with a host of top clubs in recent months.

Emiliano Martinez left Arsenal last year after the Gunners decided to continue with Bernd Leno as their number one goalkeeper.

The Argentine decided to continue his career at the Villa Park, delivering impressive performances for Dean Smith’s side.

The 29-year-old has caught the attention of Tottenham, who are keen to sign him as Hugo Lloris’ replacement.

According to the Independent, the Spurs are monitoring Martinez alongside England international Sam Johnstone. However, they are leaning toward Martinez because of his convincing performances with Argentina national team.

Lloris’ contract will be expired by the end of the current season. It remains to be seen whether the Spurs will extend the Frenchman’s contract or they will continue to search for replacements.
