Arsenal bounced back from their defeat against Liverpool with a narrow win at Villa Park.

Arsenal defeated Aston Villa 1-0 in their Premier League game on Saturday. The Gunners stay in fourth place ahead of the international break while Villa suffer back-to-back defeats.

Arsenal back to winning ways!

Similar to their game against Liverpool last week, Arsenal made a brilliant start to the game. Mikel Arteta’s men completely dominated the game, coming close to scoring several times in the first 20 minutes of the game.

Bukayo Saka finally broke the deadlock at Villa Park just after the half-hour mark. Following a deflected cross from Cedric, the England international smashed a left-footed volley Emiliano Martinez to make it 1-0.

Villa looked defensively improved in the second half while making a few chances to get the equalizer. However, their efforts were not enough to cause serious problems for Arsenal’s well-organized backline.

What’s next for Arsenal and Villa?

Saka’s goal brought Arsenal back to winning ways ahead of the international break. On the other hand, Villa continued their struggle for consistency under Gerrard as they suffered their 15th defeat of the campaign.

The Gunners will face Crystal Palace in their next league game on April 4, while Villa face Wolves two days earlier.
