Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants his former head coach Arsene Wenger to have frequent visits to Emirates Stadium in the future.

Mikel Arteta explained how things will be better at Emirates Stadium if former boss Arsene Wenger makes his return to Arsenal.

The Spaniard has always reflected his wish to have his former coach back at the club in some capacity.

Arteta has also just recently asked the club to hang a big frame of Wenger at the entrance of the club’s training ground.

And he has now admitted that he had talks with his former manager over his return to Arsenal for the first time since 2019.

When questioned if there has been any agreement with Wenger, Arteta said: “Well, we have been in communication.”

“I saw him and I talked to him when we went to see the film (Arsene Wenger: Invincible). And it was incredibly pleasant to chat to him and hopefully we can bring him close.”

“I think he would have a great time just seeing the environment he can create around him. When he is around this place because of the respect, admiration and the love that everybody at the club has for what he has done. And as well for what he represents as a person in this club.”
