Arsenal welcome Rapid Vienna to the Emirates in what will be a special game for the Gunners and English football.

For the first time in nine months, fans will be welcomed into a Premier League ground after the official go-ahead was given yesterday. Up to 3000 fans could be in attendance to watch the match live at the Emirates stadium.

On to the match, Arsenal can afford to ‘experiment’ with this one having won their previous four games in the group to secure qualification.

The Gunners also have a crunch north London derby on Sunday and it won’t be a surprise to see Mikel Arteta play out a very much rotated team.

Rapid Vienna still have the second spot to battle for and they’ll fancy their chances of getting something at the Emirates. While the Gunners have struggled in the Premier League, one would expect they would want to keep their Europa League winning run intact.

Arsenal Form and Stats

Arsenal’s Europa League form has not tallied with that of the Premier League in their opening 10 matches.

Mikel Arteta’s team are 14th in the table after losing four of their last six matches domestically.

They haven’t had such an issue in Europe though, having won all four of their matches. The Gunners kicked off with wins over Rapid Wien, Dundalk, and Molde.

Their previous match in the Europa League against Molde saw them qualify for the knockout stages. Arsenal won 3-0 thanks to goals from Nicolas Pepe, Reiss Nelson, and Folarin Balogun.

They have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five matches in all competitions, and were held to a 1-1 draw by Austria Wien at the weekend.
