The Man United boss has reportedly taken the England international out of his side’s starting lineup.

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire will reportedly start on the bench when the Red Devils take on Arsenal on Saturday.

The England international received a bomb threat after his poor performance in United’s 4-0 defeat against Liverpool last week. United fans have continuously criticized Maguire’s form this season as the Red Devils struggle for defensive consistency.

According to the Athletic, United boss Ralf Rangnick has decided to drop Maguire from his starting XI against Arsenal.

The English source claims Rangnick wants to allow the defender to have some physical and mental rest.

United will have Raphael Varane back in their squad for the game. Rangnick will most likely start the French defender alongside Victor Lindelof at the heart of his team’s backline.

The Red Devils boss will also have Cristiano Ronaldo and Scott McTominay at his disposal for the game.

“Scott McTominay will be back and fit to play, he has been in training with us and he will train today, he will be available for the game, the same is true with Raphael Varane,” said Rangnick in a pre-match press conference on Friday.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is available again, he’s been training with us.”
