Mohamed Salah has offered a promising update on his fitness ahead of Liverpool’s highly anticipated Premier League match against Arsenal this Sunday.

The striker sustained a hamstring injury during Egypt’s clash with Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations on January 18, prompting an early return to Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp clarified that Salah would have been permitted to stay in the tournament had he recovered in time, but Egypt’s exit following a defeat to DR Congo dashed those hopes.

As a result, Salah is sidelined for Liverpool’s upcoming fixture against Chelsea and is expected to miss the upcoming duel with Arsenal. However, fans received a boost when Salah shared a photo of himself engaged in running drills on the training pitch, hinting at a potential comeback.

Klopp had earlier confirmed Salah’s absence for the pivotal clash against Arsenal, stating, “He’s not ready for this game, not ready for the next game… He’s injured and a muscle injury takes time.”

While Salah’s availability for Sunday remains uncertain, his progress offers hope for a possible comeback against Burnley on February 10.
