The Selecao have made a few surprise exclusions from their 26-man squad.
Brazil manager Tite has announced his squad for Selecao’s upcoming friendly matches later this month.
Serie A defenders Roger Ibanez and Gleison Bremer have received their first national team call-ups. The pair join a star-dusted squad, mostly consisting of players working in Europe.
The Selcao have 11 Premier League stars, while La Liga and Brazilian Serie A have six and three players on the list, respectively.
The most notable absentees are Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus. Tite has also dropped Dani Alves, who joined UNAM Pumas from Barcelona this summer.
