The Gunners are on the verge of adding a new forward to their ranks.

Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Leandro Trossard from Brighton.

The Belgium international attracted interest from a host of top clubs, including Tottenham, after his incredible start to the current season.

Arsenal, who saw Chelsea hijack their move for Mykhailo Mudryk earlier this week, have now secured a transfer for Trossard.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have agreed to pay £27m to sign the 28-year-old.

The Sky Sports journalist claims the Gunners have completed the transfer within 24 hours of making their first contact with Brighton on Wednesday. Trossard will reportedly sign a four-year contract after turning down offers from “two other clubs”.

Trossard has developed into a key player at Brighton since joining the club from Genk in 2019. This season, he has registered seven goals and three assists in his 16 appearances for the Seagulls.

Arsenal hope to improve their squad depth as they aim to end a 19-year wait to claim the Premier League title.

Following Gabriel Jesus’ injury, Arsenal started their search for a new forward. Trossard’s versatility enables Mikel Arteta’s side to become more unpredictable in their attacking line.

Let’s see if the Gunners will use Trossard in their crucial match against Manchester United this weekend.
