As part of a likely summer clear-out, a report claims Arsenal have put Alexandre Lacazette up for sale by end of the season.
Alexandre Lacazette could be on his way out of Arsenal this summer.
The Frenchman has spent almost four years in north London since joining from Lyon.
Much was expected of the goal-scorer following his £46.5m move to the Emirates Stadium. However, Lacazette has never truly reached his full potential in a red shirt.
The 2018/19 season was his most prolific for Arsenal with 19 goals across 49 matches in all competitions.
This summer, though, he might be ready for a new challenge and is looking to attract one of Europe’s elite clubs with Mikel Arteta’s Gunners still struggling in the Premier League. At the moment, his future at the club still remains uncertain.
As per Italian outlet Calciomercato, Lacazette has been offered to La Liga duo Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Serie A champions Juventus have also been proposed the Arsenal forward ahead of the summer.
The Italian club have not made a decision yet regarding their interest in a deal for Lacazette.
Lots would depend on what Arsenal value their No.9 at in the transfer market, especially in these times with the impact Covid-19 has had on club finances across Europe.
Lacazette earns over £5m a year at Arsenal in wages too, and given it would be his last mega contract of his career, the striker will likely not want to see his salary reduced.
