After breakthrough in talks, Arsenal could be closing in on another loan deal for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.
Dani Ceballos is close to joining the Gunners for his second loan stint at the club.
The Spanish midfielder joined the Gunners last summer in a season-lond loan deal. He was a key figure in midfield alongside Granit Xhaka following the enforced break for coronavirus.
Ceballos still has plans of making the grade at Madrid but has been unable to break into Zinedine Zidane’s plans.
That has allowed Mikel Arteta to convince the Arsenal board to pursue a deal to bring the 24-year-old back to the Emirates.
And according to The Guardian, Arsenal are closing in on another loan for Ceballos.
It is claimed Arteta convinced Ceballos to reject three other offers and rejoin Arsenal for the 2020/21 season.
The Arsenal boss has always spoken highly about the midfielder. It was more than likely the Gunners would push for another loan deal.
Ceballos back at Arsenal for the upcoming season is a significant boost in depth and options for Mikel Arteta.
Last season, the 24-year-old made 24 Premier League appearances for the Gunners.
