The English winger has been enjoying fantastic form so far this season.
Bukayo Saka scored Arsenal’s first goal in their match against Wolves on Saturday. Following an assist from Takehiro Tomiyasu, Saka made it 1-0 for the Gunners with a precise finish from inside the box.
Saka has remained a cornerstone of Arsenal’s attacking line this season, starting 13 of their 14 Premier League matches so far. The young winger’s goal against Wolves was his fifth goal and 11th goal contribution in the EPL this season.
Only Mohamed Salah and Saka have registered direct goal contributions (goal or assist) in ten different Premier League matches in the current campaign.
Only Wolves’ Neto and Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier are ahead of Saka in the league’s assist table. The England international’s contribution has been a major factor in the Gunners’ excellent attacking consistency this season. The Gunners are only surpassed by Manchester City in terms of their attacking number, leading the Premier League champions by one point on the table.
Saka has also found a brilliant start to his first season at the Champions League. The 22-year-old has scored three goals and provided four assists in Arsenal’s five group-stage matches in the tournament. The Gunners will return to EPL action with a game against Luton Town on Tuesday.
