The goalkeeper’s playing time at Arsenal has been limited since David Raya’s arrival.

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is concerned over the possibility of losing his place in England’s squad.

Ramsdale established himself as Arsenal’s No.1 keeper after joining the club from Sheffield United in 2021. Last season, his performances convinced Gareth Southgate to add him to England’s squad.

Ramsdale has been competing against Jordan Pickford for England’s No.1 spot ahead of next year’s Euros. But his limited playing time at Arsenal could reduce his chances of playing for the Three Lions.

Asked by Daily Mail whether he’s concerned about his place in England’s squad, the 25-year-old responded: “Yes, of course, it’s the first time I have found myself in this situation.

“I want to get back into my club team. I want to give the manager a headache rather than just have Pickford as No.1.”

Ramsdale has made four Premier League appearances so far this season while also staying behind Raya in Arsenal’s pecking order for the Champions League.

Asked about his relationship with Raya, Ramsdale added: “We work professionally really well together. We push each other in training.

“There’s days where I come in and I’m down because of the situation, and he picks me up. I’d do the same for him. We support each other.”
