Mesut Ozil continues to see a difficult time at Arsenal and the latest turn of events leaves one wondering what will happen next.

Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr have reportedly made a £5million bid for Mesut Ozil, according to the latest reports.

According to TyC Sports journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, the club have offered the midfielder a two-year contract as well as making their bid. It is understood Arsenal will be keen to offload the German.

However, Ozil does not want to leave and intends to see out the final year of his contract in north London.

The 31-year-old has not been part of Mikel Arteta’s plans for some time. His huge wage demands means the Gunners have been unable to ship him out of the club.

A large part of the problem is his £350,000-a-week wages with his contract not ending until June 2021.

The Daily Mail reported that Arsenal recently tried to reach a settlement with Ozil to terminate his contract early.

But the German wants all of his remaining £13m or will prefer to see out his current contract.

If Ozil gets no playing time at Arsenal and still rejects offers from elsewhere, it leaves one thinking what the player actually wants.

Arsenal recently omitted the 31-year-old from their Europa League squad. Reports claim the Gunners could do the same in the Premier League as well.

It all but hints at the German’s time completely ‘over’ at the club.
