Arsenal have been offered a transfer boost in their pursuit of Red Bull Salzburg and Hungarian youngster Dominik Szoboszlai.

Arsenal might have received a significant boost in their pursuit of RB Salzburg youngster Szoboszlai.

The 20-year-old is already making a name for himself as one of Europe’s most wanted youngsters.

Szoboszlai added more hype to his name after scoring a superb goal for Hungary that secured them a spot in the European Championship next summer.

Arsenal are among the clubs to have shown an interest in the Hungarian in recent times. During the transfer window, the Gunners set their sights on Houssem Aouar but missed out on the Lyon star.

Recent reports claim the Gunners could now turn their attentions to the Salzburg man. If anything, the latest comments from the Salzburg boss will be a boost to Arsenal as well as AC Milan who also came close to signing the player last summer.

Now, Salzburg manager Marsch has confirmed on the Futbol podcast with journalist Grant Wahl that he expects Szoboszlai to leave in January.

“Yes,” Marsch said when asked if he believes the player will leave. “The reality is that a guy like Dominik Szoboszlai is likely to have many suitors this winter.”

“He’s an incredible talent, and I say this: When you coach young players, you have to love them and love the fact that they’re going to move on and love that they’re going to have big opportunities to prove themselves and show how good they are.”

This comes after Twitter journalist AFCBell who first broke the news of Thomas Partey to Arsenal also claimed that the Gunners will move for Szoboszlai in January.

Arsenal have struggled to find a creative player in their midfield this term and the Hungarian starlet could be the answer to that problem.
