Lucas Torreira is linked with an exit from Arsenal and his agent says they club must decide their intentions with the midfielder.

Torreira finds his future at the Emirates stadium in doubt at the moment.

A combination of injuries and inconsistent performances saw the Uruguayan lose his place in the Gunners setup.

Torreira could now consider an exit from Arsenal this summer with Fiorentina and Torino interested in his signature.

Arsenal reportedly want €30m for the 24-year-old but it remains to be seen if his suitors can meet that price.

Amidst the growing rumors, Pablo Bentancur, who happens to be Torreira’s agent, says the Gunners must define their plans.

He reveals there is no concrete offer for the midfielder yet but the uncertainty regarding his future must be sorted.

“There are many requests for information, but nothing official yet, so there are no written offers on the table,” agent Pablo Bentancur told Calciomercato.

“He is training with Arsenal, they own him, he is one of the few cases of athletes who arrive in England and immediately play 50 games in a row.

“After a nasty injury, he didn’t require surgery, but the recovery process was still tricky and took a while. Now the coach and Arsenal must work out if they need Torreira or not.”

Bentancur also spoke of Torino as a possible destination for Torreira. As earlier said, the financial implications could prove a stumbling block yet again.

“Football has to be divided into two parts, the sporting and the economic areas. In sporting terms, Torreira is perfect for Torino and he’d reunite with Marco Giampaolo after their time at Sampdoria.”

“At the same time, we must be realistic and admit Arsenal will have some very big demands, while Lucas’ salary is also a bit too high for Torino.”
