The Ghanaian only just returned from an injury setback and he could be on for yet another spell on the sidelines for the Gunners.

Thomas Partey was forced to leave the pitch only halfway through Sunday’s north London derby in the Premier League.

The defensive-minded midfielder was seen limping towards the end of the first half and was eventually replaced by Dani Ceballos in stoppage time immediately after his side went 2-0 down.

Harry Kane and Son Heung-min had already handed Spurs a two-goal lead when he left the pitch.

Partey had only just returned from his injury when he was named in the starting XI for the Tottenham clash.

On Sunday, he made his first appearance after remaining out of action for over a month due to a thigh issue.

The former Atletico Madrid man hurt himself during the home defeat to Aston Villa prior to the international break and had to miss the Premier League encounters with Leeds United and Wolves as well as the Europa League games Molde and Rapid Vienna.

Partey has been able to make just five starts for Arsenal ever since joining the team in a €47 million transfer in October.
