The former England international will continue his football in Denmark.

Jack Wilshere spent nine months out of work after leaving Bournemouth in July 2021. The former Arsenal star has now confirmed he will continue his career at Danish side AGF.

Mikel Arteta allowed Wilshere to return with Arsenal in October. Some Arsenal fans even hoped they see the former prodigy play for the Gunners again. Despite those plans falling through, they can be happy the 30-year-old has joined a new club.

The former England international has signed a contract until the end of the season with AGF and will wear the club’s No.10 shirt.

AGF sit seventh in the Danish Superliga as they are four games away from the end of the campaign. The league then splits into championship and relegation groups.

“Since I started training with Arsenal, I have never hidden the fact that it was to be ready for 2022 and for a new club,” Wilshere said.

“Now the right club is here, and it will be an exciting new challenge for me.

“I am in a place in my career where I need to get started again after a difficult period and that opportunity AGF has offered me.

“For that I am very grateful, and I will do everything I can to live up to the expectations.”

Wilshere can make his AGF debut in their match against Vejle Boldklub on Friday.
