Arsenal are open to selling goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez this summer, according to reports making the rounds.
Arsenal will not hesitate to listen to offers for Martinez this summer.
The Argentine goalkeeper put in a good shift for the Gunners after stepping in as deputy for Bernd Leno while he was injured.
The 27-year-old starred in goal for Arsenal when they saw out a record 14th FA Cup triumph over Chelsea.
With Bernd Leno now fully recovered, Mikel Arteta has a massive decision on his hands in terms of selecting his first-choice shot-stopper.
After the FA Cup final, Martinez spoke on his future and mentioned he will consider an exit if he isn’t assured ample game time at Arsenal.
That could now be a possibility as per the latest report.
The Athletic claim that Mikel Arteta sees Leno as his no 1 goalkeeper and wouldn’t hesitate to cash in on Martinez.
A valuation of £20m was placed on Martinez under the stewardship of former head of football Raul Sanllehi. But with the Spaniard’s departure, Arsenal could entertain offers for way less.
Martinez remains a dedicated steward to Arsenal having spent a decade at the club. The Argentine is also hoping the club reduce their asking price so he can secure a move elsewhere.
A number of clubs in Spain are reportedly keen on the 27-year-old’s signature. Valencia and Real Betis are among those sides.
The goalkeeper still has two-years left on his current Arsenal contract.
