With zero points, no goals scored, and nine conceded after three games, the Gunners sit at rock bottom of the league table.

Arsenal technical director Edu has pleaded for patience from the fans after the club’s dreadful start to the 2020-21 season saying “let’s judge the team” when they play at full strength.

Arsenal have been in dreadul form so far in the new Premier League campaign, having tasted defeat in each of their opening three matches.

Intense criticism from fans and media alike has been aimed at the club, especially considering they outspent all their domestic rivals over the summer.

The Gunners added six new faces to their squad in the last transfer market, spending a total of £150 million on players all of whom are aged 23 or under.

However, Mikel Arteta has been unable to field his best XI so far, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Thomas Partey, Ben White, Gabriel, Alexandre Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe, and Eddie Nketiah all having missed games.

“Of course, it has hurt us to be in that situation. We are hurt, I am hurt. I don’t want to see the club there, but I want to see the team playing together,” Edu told Sky Sports.

“To be fair, we have had three games and I haven’t seen the team playing together yet. So, I want to see the signings and I want to see the squad prepare. All three games we have played against Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City, unfortunately we have had some difficult moments in terms of Covid and injuries.

“I want to see the team play together and then let’s judge the team when they play together. Then, after that, no problem. Judge us then.

“I understand the situation we are in now is really tough. It’s not an excuse but let’s judge the team when they play together.”
