Arsenal are in contention of entering Saturday’s Premier League game against Southampton without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Arsenal will probably play without their captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against Southampton on Saturday.
The Gunners skipper was not seen in the final training session at London Colney on Friday. Although it is unclear as to why the 32-year-old was absent, reports suggest that he might be unwell.
Mikel Arteta did not start Aubameyang against Everton on Monday night and only substituted him late in the game.
But, everyone was expecting the Gabonese to make a return to the starting XI against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side. More so, because Alexandre Lacazette failed to provide the finishing touch at Goodison Park.
Aubameyang had been training regularly this week and was also with the rest of the squad on Thursday.
However, he missed the final session and was absent for the entire day from the club’s training institution. Moreover, Arsenal avoided disclosing the reason for Auba not being present.
