An easy victory on home soil was enough to secure Arsenal’s place at the top of the league table.

Arsenal defeated Leeds United 4-1 in their Premier League game on Saturday. The Gunners found a solid start to the final part of the league campaign after returning from the international break.

Gabriel Jesus with a brace!

The hosts quickly took control of the game as they pushed for an early breakthrough. However, they had to wait until the 35th minute to finally score the opener.

Gabriel Jesus, who replaced Bukao Saka in Arsenal’s lineup, made it 1-0 for the Gunners by converting a penalty. Leeds were quick in their response as they immediately put pressure on Arsenals’ backline to score the equalizer.

Javi Garcia’s men missed two golden opportunities to get back into the game toward the end of the first period. Arsenal then punished them soon after the break.

Ben White converted a brilliant cutback from Gabriel Martinelli to make it 2-0 for the hosts in the 47th minute. The Gunners then used their momentum to secure the victory.

Only eight minutes after White’s goal, Jesus completed his brace to extend Arsenal’s lead. The pace of the game decreased significantly after the goal as Leeds struggled to create serious chances.

The guests finally managed to pull one back through Rasmus Kristensen in the 76th minute. But Granit Xhaka put the icing on the cake for the Gunners only eight minutes later.

The Swiss midfielder made it 4-1 for the Gunners with a precise header as they claimed the three points at Emirates.
Arsenal maintain an eight-point lead in the Premier League ahead of their clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
