The Gunners ended United’s six-game unbeaten run to claim another crucial victory in the Premier League title race.

Arsenal defeated Manchester United 3-2 in their Premier League game on Sunday. The much-awaited game lived up to expectations, with the Gunners maintaining their five-point lead at the top of the league table.

Nketiah steals the show!

Arsenal started off as the better side but failed to convert their early chances. Meanwhile, Man Utd threatened their opponents’ backline with a few dangerous counter-attacks.

United found their perfect start to the game when Marcus Rashford scored their opener in the 17th minute. The England international latched onto Bruno Fernandes’ pass before unleashing an unstoppable low shot from 25 yards out.

But it didn’t take too long for Arsenal to get back into the game. Eader from close range. Only seven minutes after Rashford’s goal, Eddie Nketiah converted Granit Xhaka’s cross from close range to make it 1-1 for the hosts.

Arsenal reestablished their dominance when the second half started. Following a few missed chances, Bukayo Saka scored a wonderful long-range goal to put the Gunners ahead in the 53rd minute.

It seemed the Gunners would manage to hold on to their leads for longer. But only six minutes later, United scored their second goal of the night.

A poor clearance from Aaron Ramsdale found Lisandro Martinez, who scored the equalizer with a brilliant header.

Arsenal started their efforts to score the match-winner immediately. But they had to wait until the 90th minute to finally secure the three points.

Once again, Nketiah was in the perfect spot to nod the ball home from close range after a deflected shot by Martin Odegaard.

The 3-2 win keeps Arsenal five points above Man City as their closest rivals at the top of the Premier League table. Man Utd, on the other hand, slipped to the fourth spot as they failed to return to winning ways.
