It is time to have a look at the Europa League clash between Arsenal and Dundalk in Group B. We have the Player Ratings.
Arsenal confirmed their second win in the Europa League group stage following their 3-0 victory over Dundalk.
Mikel Arteta subsequently made 10 changes to his side after losing a home to Leicester City last weekend.
However, the resistant Dundalk team kept the Gunners away from goal until close to the halfway mark. But, in the 42nd minute, Eddie Nketiah took advantage of a mistake by goalkeeper Gary Rogers to put the ball into the net.
Furthermore, Joe Willock added a two-goal cushion within the next few moments. At the end of a swift counter-attack from Arsenal’s young side, Willock blasted the ball into the roof of the net.
Within just two minutes after the start of the second half, Dundalk was punished with a brutal goal. Consequently, Nicolas Pepe controlled a sweet ball to finesse it in the right top corner from the edge of the penalty box.
Although, on the other hand, Patrick McEleney pressured Alex Runarsson in Arsenal’s goal. The visitors, nevertheless, found it difficult to break Arteta’s evolving side.
Now with six points in the bag, Arsenal looks forward to the clash against second-placed Molde in the next round.
