Tottenham fell behind twice but managed to escape the Emirates with a point.
Arsenal drew 2-2 with Tottenham in their Premier League game on Sunday. The Gunners failed to beat their arch-rivals on home soil as Son Heung-Min scored a brace.
What happened?
Arsenal started the game on the front foot, putting the visitors under pressure from both flanks. Their efforts paid off when Cristian Romero turned Bukayo Saka’s cross into an own goal for Arsenal in the 26th minute.
Tottenham managed to gain more possession as the first half went on, pushing for the equalizer. A brilliant run and cut-back from James Maddison on the left-hand side of the box found Son, who made it 1-1 with a smart finish.
Arsenal re-established their dominance over the game after the break, getting ahead once again in the 54th minute. Romero’s handball saw Saka smash a precise penalty past Vicario to make it 2-1.
However, Spurs found an instant equalizer through Son just a minute later. Once again, Maddison found his South Korean teammate with a fantastic assist as Spurs got back into the game.
Both sides had enough chances to score the match-winner toward the end of the game but settled for a 2-2 draw.
