Ace Football presents detailed betting tips on the upcoming Primera Division matches of the weekend.

As we prepare for the first matchday of Primera Division’s second phase, our experts take a look at the bookmakers’ predictions for the upcoming games.

Let’s check out three betting tips for Matchday 2 of the Argentine top-flight.

Back Racing to beat Godoy Cruz

Racing finished the first phase as Group A leaders but lost their semi-final match against Boca Juniors in penalties.

The Argentine giants started the second phase with a 2-0 win over Huracan last week. They went on to suffer a shock defeat against Agropecuario in the round of 32 of the Copa Argentina, but we expect them to get back to winning ways on Sunday.

Their opponents, Godoy Cruz, have lost their opening phase two match with a 2-1 defeat against Platense. Having scored in their last six games, the hosts are confident enough to attack Racing. However, we expect the guests to outscore them in the upcoming match.

Don’t expect goals when Aldosivi host Estudiantes

Aldosivi started the second phase with a 2-1 defeat against Argentinos Juniors. They must face Studiantes in their next game at home.

The hosts haven’t scored more than one goal in any of their last seven games. Their opponents have also struggled for goals recently.

Estudiantes came into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Gimnasia, and we expect a similar scenario to unfold on Saturday.

Both sides will most likely take a conservative approach to the game, trying their best to avoid surprises because of their out-of-form attacking lines.

Expect Colon to defeat Union on home soil

Colon drew 1-1 against Atletico Tucuman last weekend as they kick-started their second-phase campaign. Next up, they must host Union, who lost 2-1 against Tigre on Sunday.

Union have shown signs of attacking improvement lately. However, their poor away record convinces us that they will suffer another defeat this week.

Having scored only once in their last three away games in the league, Union will most likely struggle to find goalscoring chances against Colon.

On the other hand, the hosts’ consistent goalscoring stats in their last five games convince us they will have a good chance of winning the match.
