Was it a goal or not? The referee said no, but Ronaldo wanted to be sure anyway in this hilarious moment he checked the ref’s watch.
Cristiano Ronaldo had already smashed home an insane left-footed strike from outside the box to put Juventus ahead against Roma in the club’s 2-0 win.
But typically one goal wasn’t enough for a man who has scored an unparalleled 763 career goals for club and country. That insatiable hunger to find the back of the net knows no end and was on display again on Saturday.
After rattling the crossbar with another thundering strike, Ronaldo asked the referee, Daniele Orsato, to check the ball hadn’t crossed the goal line as it bounced down.
The ref said no and pointed out the watch on his wrist, which is linked to the goal-line technology, hadn’t given any goal alert. But Ronaldo instead cheekily took it as an invitation to make sure he hadn’t been robbed of a second goal…

If there was ever a video that summed up CR7, this one would surely be a contender.
To be fair though, it would’ve been a brilliant goal had the ref allowed it.
