“Any team would miss Ronaldo” – Juventus man admits star’s absence

Juventus defender acknowledged the difficult situation in the absence of the main man Cristiano Ronaldo. ahead of clash vs Barcelona.

Juventus defender Danilo revealed that Andrea Pirlo’s side will miss Cristiano Ronaldo if he will not feature against Barcelona. Subsequently, the Italy giants will clash against the Catalunya side in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Evidently, news regarding Ronaldo’s positive test for coronavirus is soaring since the international break.

Nevertheless, the Portugal international is currently under scrutiny for breaching the quarantine protocols. Ronaldo traveled back to Turin during the national duty when this incident took place.

Consequently, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner missed Juventus’ games vs Crotone and Dynamo Kyiv. Moreover, another news about his positive result made him skip Serie A clash against Hellas Verona.

Now, if Ronaldo has to play against his former La Liga rivals Lionel Messi and Barcelona, he requires a negative test on Tuesday. Also, the result needs to be 24 hours before the kickoff time. 

A tough situation.

Furthermore, Juventus possibly will have to play without the star striker in Wednesday’s European battle. Though, Danilo is focused on the match is sure that his team will perform on top-level.

“These are the best matches to play,” the Brazilian said. “We want to win, we must be concentrated.

“Any team would miss a player like Cristiano. But we have faith in all the players. We have people who want to do well and help us play a great match.”

Juventus are playing under the reign of Pirlo after Maurizio Sarri’s departure in summer.

Under the Italy legend’s management, Juve has two wins and three draws in the first five league games. And the club sits fifth on the Serie A table.

Danilo played all the fixtures for Juventus but one in the new season. Although, the ex-Manchester City and Real Madrid defender mentioned that he is settling up in the team.

“I feel good in this way of playing,” Danilo said at a press conference. “We often have the ball and therefore there’s no difficulty.
