The Tottenham star had to stop in the middle of his side’s latest training session.
Antonio Conte has revealed Harry Kane is dealing with “fatigue” ahead of his World Cup campaign with England.
The Three Lions captain has started 21 games in a row this season, continuing his key role in Conte’s squad.
Kane even started for the Spurs in their EFL Cup defeat against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday. Conte has now admitted his star striker is dealing with fatigue ahead of the Qatar tournament.
“It was a problem of tiredness. It’s only fatigue but it’s normal because Harry played every game,” Conte said.
“Yesterday we had a soft training session and at one point he stopped himself to recover energy.”
Tottenham still have a Premier League game to play before the World Cup break. But Kane has made no request to stay sidelined for the match.
“Other players maybe they could tell me, ‘I’m tired and don’t want to play and help the team’,” he added.
“Another could be selfish and think for himself because in one week they have to play the World Cup. Instead, Harry Kane showed to be a really good man.
“But I repeat, it’s normal, what’s happening in this period.”
