Ansu Fati is set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines as Barcelona star suffers yet another hamstring injury.

Barcelona teenager Ansu Fati is set to be out of action for at least two months following another hamstring injury.

Fati has played just 10 games for the La Liga giants this season owing to multiple injuries and is sidelined yet again as his woes continue.

The 19-year-old came off injured during Barcelona’s Copa del Rey loss to Athletic Bilbao and had to be consoled by manager Xavi.

However, instead of opting for surgery, Fati has decided to continue with “conservative treatment” for his injury which will require longer rehabilitation.

Barca Universal have claimed that the youngster has “terrible memories” of the meniscus arthroscopy he underwent and found himself in the operating room three times last year.

In a statement on the club’s official website, Barca said: “The first team player Ansu Fati will follow a conservative recovery plan for the injury to the proximal tendon in his left hamstring. His recovery will dictate his return.”

Despite his constant injury woes this season, Fati has scored three goals in five games for Barca in LaLiga, and five in 10 across all competitions.

He is set to miss games against Atletico Madrid on February 6, a derby date with Espanyol a week later, and an all-important Europa League last-16 tie with Napoli next month.
